And All God's People Said - WOW!

“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” – Psalm 37:4

I’ve always believed that sometimes God gives us a glimpse of His favor by giving us WOW moments when we’re in His will. Tonight was one of those nights for me.

Almost six months ago, God clearly put on my heart the picture for the Music With A Message – A Night of Family, Faith and Friends Concert Series. Through the process of praying and seeking His will I had a tendency to superimpose MY vision of what this was supposed to look like, how it was supposed to come about and where it was to be held. Each time I tried to move it forward on MY agenda, He would put the brakes on and throw hurdles in my way.

Through trial and error, stumbling and fumbling, He guided me to where we ended up tonight at Mabank Café. And the ultimate outcome was truly a WOW moment. It was affirmation that when we seek His will with a desire to do only that – His will – we are ultimately put in a position where our heart’s desire is aligned with His will – His good, pleasing and perfect will. And when this happens – WOW! He gives us the desires of our heart.

A packed house. Literally packed house. People praising God and soaking up all He had in store for us tonight. There are not enough words that I can say to express my gratitude to those that came out and supported this and bought into what God has given me to do.

Friends in the Cedar Creek Lake area, Mabank, Eustace, Phalba, Canton, Kaufman, Log Cabin, Seven Points, Tool, Kemp, Athens, Prairieville, Malakoff – you all allowed God to use you tonight to minister to me and show me His good, pleasing and perfect will. Chuck Day you were a trooper tonight and as usual the consummate professional. Apparently God had other plans for tonight that you and I just weren’t in tune too until you showed up. Your support was tonight – and always has been – priceless. Victor and Loretta Flores I’ll make this simple – THANK YOU! Tell all your employees that they were outstanding; full of class and their heart for serving is something we all should strive for daily. Faith Caughron, you were a perfect touch to the evening that made the night as fun as it was. I can’t wait to see all you captured tonight with your photography talent.

The beauty of all of this is that it doesn’t end. In fact, it only gets better as next month we will - God-willing – pack the house once again as Tommy Brandt and Tommy Brandt II bring their stories and songs to Mabank Café seeking to do His will – His good, pleasing and perfect will.

Till then…
